On Saturday, a pedestrian was struck by a hit-and-run driver on the Agbara-Badagry expressway, resulting in the victim being hospitalized.
According to Mr. William Manga, the Commander of the Badagry Unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the accident took place at 11:56 am.
The Command received information about the incident at 11:58 am and promptly dispatched their personnel to the scene, arriving at 12:02 pm.
The collision occurred at the Limca, Winners axis of the Badagry expressway and involved an unidentified car and driver.
The young man who was hit suffered injuries to his body and a fracture in his left leg. Recognizing the severity of his condition, he was immediately rushed to the General Hospital in Badagry for urgent medical attention.

Mr. Manga emphasized the importance of the victim’s relatives visiting the emergency unit of the hospital in Badagry to check on his condition.
In addition, he urged pedestrians to exercise caution when crossing the expressway, advising them to thoroughly assess the road before doing so.
Furthermore, he appealed to motorists traveling on the Agbara-Badagry expressway to remain vigilant due to the current utilization of a single lane.
