Bad Road: Reps pledge to rejuvenate FERMA
The Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) Committee of the House of Representatives has pledged to resurrect the organisation in order to guarantee the restoration of roads throughout the nation.
During an interactive session with FERMA management in Abuja, the Committee’s Chairman, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, made the commitment.
According to him, Nigeria’s terrible road system ruins the country’s reputation, causes great misery for its citizens, and prevents economic progress.

Ineptitude, corruption, and incompetence are the public’s perceptions of FERMA, he continued.
In order to effectively accomplish its goals, the legislator claims that the committee’s aim is to revitalise, reposition, and reinvent the agency.
It is our responsibility as the people’s representatives to move decisively to address this issue and make sure that FERMA becomes a ray of hope for Nigerians. This is a fact we cannot ignore, and as such, a perception that needs to be addressed.
“It is our duty as the house committee on FERMA to preserve this idea by putting forth endless effort to enhance the condition of our roads, guaranteeing the security and comfort of our people,” the congressman stated.
