President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised not to host the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu on May 29 by the vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Datti Baba-Ahmed.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced on March 1 that Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APCpresidential )’s candidate, had won (INEC).

Nevertheless, Baba-Ahmed asserted during a Wednesday appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today that the APC had not complied with the conditions of Section 134 (2)(a) and (b) of the Nigerian Constitution for election to the position of President.
“Mr President, do not hold that inauguration,” Baba-Ahmed commanded Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), and Buhari. CJN, do not engage in unconstitutionality, Your Lordship.
“You cannot swear [in] those who have not complied with the standards of the Constitution.
“If you do that, you have violated the law and the constitution.”
