On Sunday in Awka, the capital of Anambra State, individuals thought to be cultists killed a guy who was mentally sick.
A source told OBASANJO NEWS24 that the deceased, who was well-known in the Zik Avenue neighbourhood of Awka, was being attacked when he was at his normal position in Dike Park.
He was shot numerous times by the cultists, but they were unable to penetrate him.
All of their attempts to stab him were unsuccessful. When he finally gave up, they decided to go. The source described how they used cutlasses on him and even tried to stone him.
His suspected involvement in cultism prior to the onset of his mental condition, it was learned, is why the cultists targeted him. But given that he had turned insane, it wasn’t immediately evident why he was the target.
The man even eats his own excrement, therefore it is evident that he was insane, contrary to the suspicions of some who think he was just acting crazy.
Before going insane, he allegedly belonged to a cult. Nobody knows what caused him to go insane, but as you are aware, once you join a cult, you are locked in, and your captors will come looking for you.
It was confirmed by the Anambra State Police Command. According to DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police command’s spokesperson, the DPO of Awka’s Central Police Station quickly dispatched troops to the scene.
The DPO sprang into action right away, took the corpse, and put it in a mortuary.
“I cannot vouch for the man’s insanity, but we will be able to determine his mental state when the family collects the body,” said the officer.
To ensure that the offenders are found and apprehended, he said, “police is currently coordinating with eyewitnesses.”
A native of Enugu State, according to sources, was the deceased man.
He was a villain who used a variety of tricks to keep himself safe. It is clear that he was shielded from harm during his insanity by the charms he created when he was rational. Because of this, he was impervious to shots and stabbings.
Since he turned insane, the charms continued to operate because he performed those things while he was still rational.
Because he hasn’t been meeting ladies, and you know that most of these charms are anti-sex, a source claimed that despite his insanity, the charms were still effective.
In Awka, murders committed in the name of a cult are common. Rival parties vying for control in the state capital are said to be to blame for this.
The head of a revenue agent who was shot dead in the well-known Eke Awka market in July was severed from his corpse, while a musician was shot dead last week at the gate to his home.
