Aviation: Tinubu terminates agency directors’ positions after CEO removal

The directors of the Nigerian Federal Airports Authority (FAAN), Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMET), Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and Nigeria Safety and Investigation Bureau (NSIB) have been fired, with President Bola Tinubu’s approval.

In a statement released on Thursday, Odutayo Oluseyi, Head of Press and Public Affairs, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, stated that the decision did not impact any of the agencies’ board secretaries or legal advisers.

The concerned directors were ordered by the government to turn themselves over right away to the senior most person in charge of their respective directorates.

The statement says as follows: “I am directed to inform all directors of the following agencies that they have been relieved of their appointments forthwith and should hand over to the most senior officer in their various directorates with immediate effect.
