Following concerns raised by Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, regarding his son’s death being linked to an injection administered by an auxiliary nurse, several individuals, including the nurse and associates of Mohbad, were arrested.

In October, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa, identified the auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, as the main suspect in Mohbad’s death. Ogedengbe’s administration of various injections, such as tetanus toxoid, paracetamol, and ceftriaxone, without the necessary qualifications led to a severe reaction that resulted in Mohbad’s premature passing. Owohunwa emphasized Ogedengbe’s lack of qualifications and negligent behavior as contributing factors to the tragic outcome.
