A young man who had allegedly shot and killed his brother was reportedly beaten to death by a crowd in Auchi, Edo State, on Friday. This was a tremendous tragedy.
The incident, which happened the day before the Edo State governorship election, shocked the community. It happened on Solo Street in Auchi’s Iyekhei neighborhood within the Etsako West local government area.
Witnesses said that after a family argument, Mr. Rashid Osigwei, a lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic Auchi, was shot by his younger brother.

Residents were apparently incensed by the horrific crime and attacked the younger sibling, killing him.
Attempts to get a reaction from the police were not successful at the time this report was filed.
The neighborhood is in terror as a result of the horrific incident while investigators try to piece together what led up to the killings.
