Paul Ibe, a media advisor to Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, has charged the All Progressives Congress with fostering a culture of violence in Nigeria at multiple levels.
Ibe claimed that during Atiku’s presidential campaign event in Borno State and Kaduna State, same behavior was on display.
He denied the assertion that the PDP presidential candidate was considering dropping out of the race because he was unable to end the party’s dispute with the five disgruntled governors.
A source close to Atiku allegedly told a Twitter user named Cousin Ray that he was growing increasingly irritated with the failure of his campaign to get traction and the party’s internal problems.
Ray stated that the presidential candidate told his friends that he was reluctant to take a chance on another humiliating defeat in the general election in 2023.
Ibe, however, questioned if people making these accusations were under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
“We might need to look at the drugs and cigarettes those folks are smoking.
It is pretty apparent what Governors Wike and Ortom stated, and people who live in glass homes shouldn’t cast stones, as you have heard.
“I can guarantee you that because they are receiving addressed, whatever problems we have in the PDP will be rectified.
Campaigns have already begun on the highways in the interim.
“The APC as a political party has enthroned a culture of violence in Nigeria. It is that same culture that made them become violent in Borno State at all levels, the state and federal levels,” he said, accusing the APC of utilizing ways to propagate misinformation.
