Senator Gabriel Suswam, the former governor of Benue State, has emphasized that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is under a unified leadership, dismissing claims of divisions within the party.
Contrary to insinuations that the PDP has been split into two camps, Suswam stated that there is only one PDP and called for a strong leadership.
He clarified that Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate in the last election, remains the sole leader of the party.

Suswam also addressed the notion of camps within the party, stating that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, does not have a separate camp and is working with the president.
As the presidential candidate, Atiku automatically assumes the role of the party’s leader, according to Suswam.
