Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, has won Borno State.

He received 252,282 votes, defeating Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for the People’s Democratic Party, who received 190,921 votes.

Peter Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party, received 7,205 votes, while Rabiu Kwankwaso, a candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNNP), received 4,626.

While the PDP candidate won in four local government areas, the former governor of Lagos won in 23 LGAs.

Among the 2, 497, 337 registered voters, Prof. Rabo, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Wukari, reported that 499, 543 were accredited for the election, while the number of legal ballots was 465, 287, the number of rejected votes was 32, 658, and the total number of votes cast was 497, 945.

Maiduguri, Kukawa, Damboa, Gubio, Kaga, Magumeri, Mafa, Kwaya Kusar, Konduga, Nganzai, Dikwa, Bayo, Guzamala, Abadam, Mobbar, Gwoza, Bama, Kala/Balge, Ngala, Marte, Jere, Monguno, and Shani are the councils Tinubu won.

While Atiku triumphed in the LGAs of Askira/Uba, Chibok, Hawul, and Biu.

However, there was a small drama when the PDP party agent disputed the Danboa results and demanded that the APC’s figures be thrown out.
