Atiku Campaigns in Kogi Promise Ajaokuta Steel Company Reactivation

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has promised to bring back the Ajaokuta Steel Company in Kogi State.

In addition to promising to support the state administration in paying any salary arrears owing to civil servants in the state, he also stated that the federal government, led by him, will do likewise during his campaign on Saturday in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State.

The former vice president also promised to improve public welfare and fix other important parts of the state’s infrastructure.

Atiku’s first public appearance since his return from the United Kingdom occurred on Saturday, and he is hoping Kogi locals will support him in his presidential campaign.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, ex-Vice President Namadi Sambo, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, and Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State were all in attendance with Atiku.

Natasha Akpoti is the PDP candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial District. In her speech, she talked about the need to give women and children more power. Other PDP candidates in the state include PDP National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu, former governors, and MPs.
