Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has described President Bola Tinubu’s administration as transitory.
Atiku made this remark while emphasizing that he would sue to recover his allegedly misappropriated mandate.
Saturday, he spoke during a PDP stakeholders’ meeting for elected party officials in Bauchi State.
PDP urged PDP National Assembly members to avoid being “rubber stamp members of the National Assembly.”
According to Atiku, “you are there to pose a formidable challenge to this interim administration.”
“Based on the results announced by the INEC and pending the outcome of electoral challenges, our newly-elected representatives do not hold the majority in the National Assembly.
“Therefore, they must prepare to work as an effective, constructive opposition while also preparing for potential positions as the majority party once the cases are resolved. A government-in-waiting, if you will.”
