Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for 2023, stated on Friday that the voice of Senator Abdul Ningi of Bauchi Central can never be silenced.

Atiku declared that anyone with a good conscience is welcome to stay at his home.

“The voice of truth which Senator Ningi represents cannot be suspended from the hearts of the people,” Atiku stated in a post on X. In my home, there is a place for every true conscience bearer. -AA

According to a March Obasanjonews.com article, Ningi’s accusations of budget padding led to a three-month suspension by the Senate.

In an interview with BBC Hausa, he stated that the Federal Government was using two different versions of the 2024 budget, which led to his suspension.

Ningi asserted that the N28.7 trillion budget, which President Bola Tinubu signed into law after it was approved by the National Assembly, was biassed against the North.

when being suspended, he was called back on May 28 when Senator Abba Moro, the Deputy Minority Leader, started the procedure and expressed regret on his behalf.

Following his recall, the senator from Bauchi Central resumed his seat at the National Assembly on Tuesday.
