Atiku And Okowa Visit Jonathan, “Plans to Recover Nigeria”

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for president, and Ifeanyi Okowa, his running partner, paid a visit to former president Goodluck Jonathan.

A team was led by former vice president Atiku to Jonathan’s Abuja home on Thursday.

Atiku tweeted a picture of the group and said, “Last night, I led a team alongside my vice presidential candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, on a courtesy visit to former President Goodluck Jonathan at his house in Abuja.”

Okowa, the governor of Delta State, said that the conversations were focused on “plans to revive Nigeria,” even though Atiku declined to provide specifics.

“Last night, we had a wonderful meeting with our former President, H.E. Goodluck Jonathan, together with our presidential contender, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. 

There, we spoke with His Excellency about our objectives to “#RecoverNigeria.”

As he intensifies his consultations in the months running up to the elections, the PDP chieftain has recently met political leaders and other interest groups around the nation.

The former vice president underlined his ambitions to rebuild the country if elected in 2023 during a meeting with editors on Wednesday.

He similarly expressed his views on the economy and the private sector.
