Atalanta have offered a new contract to Ademola Lookman, aiming to secure his stay at Gewiss Stadium until at least 2027.
According to Luciano Rota of Bergamo & Sports, La Dea is looking to double Lookman’s salary in order to fend off interest from major European clubs.
The current UEFA Europa League champions are now offering him €3.5 million annually.
The 27-year-old has reportedly settled on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, the Ligue 1 champions, this summer.
However, Atalanta blocked the move.
Lookman is anticipated to attract interest from Europe’s top clubs once more next summer, following his remarkable start to the 2024/25 season.
The Nigerian secured 14th place in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings and is a strong candidate for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
Lookman, who transferred to Atalanta from RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga in 2022, still has two years left on his contract.
