His running companion also pledged that under their administration, Nigeria wouldn’t miss the World Cup.

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), and Datti Baba-Ahmed, his running partner, appeared on “The People’s Townhall” on Channels Television to talk about their intentions for the nation if they were elected.

In the two-hour event on Sunday, the pair outlined their plans for Nigeria in light of the upcoming presidential election.

Security was the main topic of conversation on Sunday because crime is on the rise throughout Nigeria. But the candidate for president of the LP says he would negotiate with troublemakers and use a carrot-and-stick approach to go against the grain.

“In a democratic system, decisions are made by consensus rather than debate.” So, without asking for names, I will sit down and talk with each agitator. He blamed the situation on a sense of injustice and advised us to use a carrot and stick (method).

He claimed that protests are nothing new and that even inside families, children, husbands, and other people engage in them, but he insisted that discussions are the key.

Community policing, in Obi’s opinion, is an additional strategy for dealing with the issue. These things “start with the communities,” in his opinion.

He stated that there is “no reason” why municipal, state, federal, and national policing should not exist and that the constitution will be modified to “fit it.”

Obi addressed gasoline subsidies, which the current administration has stated will stop on June 30th, rather than security-related matters.

The LP flagbearer called the distribution of fuel subsidies “organised crime.”

“They have taken it out.” They have acted in this manner. But I can tell you that it will disappear right away. I’ve said it before, but subsidy is organised crime, and I won’t let it continue for another day.

“What they’re saying is not accurate.” Half of the topics covered do not involve subsidies. The first is that we consume more than is appropriate for this location. We share Pakistan’s population in terms of size. They only consume about half as much as humans do.

In order to conserve money, I will take out the first half and give the folks who are drinking it water, as that is what they should be drinking.

We Would Begin a War

When the businessman went to Egypt last year to look into the country’s power industry, he said he would declare “war” in that area.

“Like South Africa, we must be more approachable.” They have similar power shortages to us, and despite having a population of 60 million and producing close to 40 thousand megawatts, they declared a state of emergency and stated that anyone can produce up to 100,000 megawatts without a permit, according to the LP chieftain.

“We would declare war on power here if someone who generates almost 50,000 megawatts and has a population of 60 million (sic) did so. We will be consumed if it consumes everyone, but we will gain power.

Egypt took the same action. There were around 20,000 megawatts in Egypt. One of their studies demonstrated the significance of power.Egypt is currently producing close to 50,000 megawatts. In actuality, Egypt exports electricity to Europe. Why not Nigeria if these things can be done around us, in South Africa and Egypt?

His running mate said that Nigeria would never miss the World Cup when they talked about their plans for the sports industry.

“I will humbly request of Mr. President that whoever is in charge of sports sees to it that we move mountains in order to bring the African Cup to Nigeria.” By the grace of God, it will never happen again, but there is no way the World Cup will be played without Nigeria.

Massive Price

Datti, who looked angry, also complained about the insults thrown at him and his family because of his campaign.

“When I joined the ticket, I refuted some of the lies against him because I could see they were going in that direction.” “In particular, my close friend on the APC side, who is on an equal footing,” he said.

“When individuals believe they have wealth, power, and the reins of government, there is no end to what they may do.” They need to hear a tap on the shoulder. I did it and made an accusation. Do one, and I’ll do three if you repeat that. You are aware of my abilities.

They have halted. However, my efforts to save Nigeria have cost me, my family, and a lot of money. They pursued me with a variety of individuals.
