Asari Dokubo, a former militant leader, has been labeled a criminal and an economic sabotage by the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, or MASSOB.
MASSOB responded to Dokubo’s demand that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), not be released by President Bola Tinubu.
Dokubo claimed that releasing Kanu would be a reward for crime in the Southeast following a meeting with Tinubu.
“Releasing Nnamdi Kanu is rewarding crime and the horrible killing of innocent people. For the deeds and instigations he committed, he ought to answer to the law, according to Dokubo.
MASSOB leader Uchenna Madu condemned the remark, calling it the “ranting of a frustrated criminal.”
Asari Dokubo should be ashamed of himself, according to Madu, for biting the finger that fed him by using his conscience as an object of cheap sabotage against the interests of the Eastern region in order to gain relevance from the federal government. He also fought against and killed her hundreds of military and other security agents.
“Asari Dokubo, not Nnamdi Kanu, is the criminal. How can a man who is in unlawful possession of hundreds of AK-47s and general-purpose machine guns label a man without a catapult a criminal?
“MASSOB wants to bring Asari Dokubo’s attention to the fact that he and his band of militant criminals destroyed and vandalized petroleum pipelines in the name of agitating for the self-determination of the Ijaw people.
Asari Dokubo’s request to Tinubu to prevent the release of Nnamdi Kanu is a clear indication of the true culprit, who ought to be disregarded.
“Unlike the Moslem perpetual slave known as Alhaji Dokubo Asari, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not a criminal or a minor saboteur.”
