Following the artiste’s announcement of the ticket pricing for his December show, fans of the well-known Nigerian Afrobeats musician Ahmed Ololade, often known as Asake, have sparked a social media controversy.
The performance is slated to take place on December 22, 2022, at the Eko Conventional Center.
The organisers of Asake’s event disclosed that standing-room-only tickets for the regular show would cost N70,000 per person on Thursday.
The cost of normal tickets for the event, dubbed “Mr. Money With Vibe Feat,” was N70,000, while the maximum price for VVIP tickets allegedly ranged from N4 million to N10 million.
As the supporters began criticizing Asake on social media, the revelation sparked a range of emotions.
“70k for standing? ” tweeted @TheMahleek.
, I finally comprehend what Asake means when she says, “Prepare yourself.”
“70k to stand for Asake concert?, when Poco Lee is still on Snapchat,” tweeted @royzkingin.
“70k for Asake standing tickets, I’ll leave the venue with one of his speakers,” tweeted @kusssman.
They are attempting to control the crowd at the show, according to kordiemusic.
Although they don’t want to say it out loud, this concert is not for everyone.
It is a game of distinction.
Wizdon official01: “I’ll sprint to the stage right away to take a picture with the bouncer holding me with my 70k,”
“70k for an Asake concert, when I can subscribe for 2GB for $500 to join Poco Lee’s Snapchat status and see the highlights,” said ogbdeyforyou.
“We helped Asake settle his bills, but now he wants us to incur debt,” theladymo said. Really ungrateful, dude. Also, I require a loan.
