According to the Lagos State Police Command, a thorough investigation into the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba nicknamed Mohbad has begun, raising the potential that the artist’s remains may be exhumed.

The command reported that “CP Idowu Owohunwa, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, has directed the commencement of full-scale criminal investigation into the case.”

According to the statement, the goal of the investigation is to gather evidence, “clear up any lingering questions, and ensure that justice is clearly served through a meticulous process that will deploy all necessary protocols (which may include exhumation), as well as technical and scientific tools that are crucial to the in-depth investigation of homicide allegations of this nature.”
According to reports, the police chief established a Special inquiry Team inside the State Criminal Investigation Department’s (SCID) Homicide Section to oversee the inquiry.
The team, which is said to be made up of seasoned homicide investigators, is entrusted with compiling all allegations, suspicions, and insinuations regarding the singer’s death from multiple sources and conducting a thorough, timely investigation.
The Lagos State Government has committed to providing the Special Investigation Team with full support in order to ensure a thorough investigation, according to the police.
“Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu provided this assurance earlier today while discussing the best way to guarantee that the case is swiftly investigated and justice is delivered.”
The command also made an appeal to the late singer’s family, friends, business associates, or anyone else who might have information that could help the investigation to contact the State Criminal Investigation Department’s Homicide Section at 08036885727 and to support the Police as best they can in their quest for a thorough investigation of the case.
The statement continued, “The Lagos State Police Command ensures that the investigation’s progress will, to the extent that it is professionally and legally permissible, be shared with the general public accordingly.
