As SGF, Akume is sworn in by Tinubu
As the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation, or SGF, President Bola Tinubu has swore in Senator George Akume.
On Wednesday, Akume took his oath of office in Abuja at the Presidential Villa.
In the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, the former interior minister swore his oath of allegiance and oath of office at approximately 11:06 a.m.
Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senate President Ahmed Lawan, as well as numerous current and previous governors, were present.
The head of the federal civil service, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, the governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the new SGF’s spouse, Mrs. Regina Akume, are among the others.
