Arsenal midfielder Merino will be sidelined for seven matches due to injury, impacting the team’s upcoming fixtures.

It is anticipated that Mikel Merino, the latest addition to Arsenal’s team, will sit out for approximately seven games due to a shoulder injury.

The UK Metro reports that Merino is expected to remain out of play until the middle of October.

In the last week of the summer transfer window, Arsenal acquired a Spanish midfielder from Real Sociedad for £31.6 million.

Despite joining Arsenal, he has not been able to make an appearance for the club due to a shoulder fracture sustained in his initial training session.

With his right arm in a sling, Merino was seen sitting in the stands during last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Brighton.
