After Tottenham Hotspur lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the final seconds, Arsenal defeated struggling Burnley 3-1 on Saturday to draw even with leaders Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings.

Manchester United defeated Luton Town 1-0 to bounce back from their midweek Champions League loss, while Everton prevailed 3-2 at Crystal Palace thanks to a late goal.

Arsenal’s victory, which saw goals from Leandro Trossard, William Saliba, and Oleksandr Zinchenko, moved them above Spurs and into second place in the standings, level on 29 points with Manchester City, who still have a game in hand.

Early in the second half, Josh Brownhill gave the visitors hope, but their happiness was short-lived as Arsenal swiftly regained the lead, won, and condemned Burnley to a sixth consecutive loss.

Although Arsenal’s afternoon was somewhat ruined by substitute Fabio Vieira receiving a straight red card, manager Mikel Arteta praised the referees despite his criticism of the authorities during the team’s loss to Newcastle United one week earlier.

It was a good day, so please ask me about VAR. Arteta stated, “I hope to be on TV saying the referees are amazing and that I agree with them completely and am being very helpful.”

Pablo Sarabia and Mario Lemina’s goals in stoppage time sealed Wolves’ 2-1 victory, thwarting Tottenham’s earlier Saturday attempt to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League.

INSPIRED REPLACEMENT
Sarabia was a late substitute for Wolves boss Gary O’Neil. The Spaniard scored the equaliser in the 91st minute and provided an assist for the winner six minutes later.

As a result, Wolves moved up to 11th place in the rankings, leaving Spurs—who played with a makeshift back four owing to injuries and suspensions—in third place.

We have been working really hard, and it is an incredible sensation. We’re worthy of this match, Lemina said to TNT Sports.

Defender Victor Lindelof’s strike in the 59th minute gave United a 1-0 victory over Luton and their second straight league triumph. With five league games played, Erik ten Hag’s team has amassed 12 points, moving them into a provisional sixth position.

Following his 50th game as United’s manager, Ten Hag remarked, “It’s a good day.” “We could have made things easier by scoring early and grabbing a second, but we needed the win and we got it.

“Aside from one, we generated the opportunities, but we failed to score. The clean bedding and that make me pleased as well.

However, Ten Hag will be suspended for his team’s Nov. 26 trip to Everton after receiving his third yellow card of the year.

At Selhurst Park, Idrissa Gueye’s goal four minutes from time gave Everton a thrilling victory. After gaining the lead, Sean Dyche’s team was twice pushed back, but Gueye slid the ball in to complete Everton’s fourth win on the road in five games across all competitions.

“This was definitely a fighting performance,” Dyche said to Sky Sports. “I believe we are capable of playing better, but we are constantly getting better at fighting, tenacity, and having the right mindset to win games.”

The Toffees, who advanced to 14th place, also received goals from Vitalii Mykolenko and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

“We’re winning, and that’s a huge factor,” Dyche remarked. “We’re developing here.”
