On Tuesday, Arsenal delivered a resounding victory over Chelsea with a 5-0 scoreline, thanks to the impressive performances of Kai Havertz and Ben White, who both scored twice.

This win propels Arsenal ahead in the Premier League title race, placing them three points clear of Liverpool and four points clear of Manchester City.

While the destiny of the title still lies in City’s hands due to their two games in hand, Arsenal’s goal difference advantage now appears insurmountable and could prove crucial in the title race. Liverpool, who have played one game less than Arsenal, will have the opportunity to respond in the Merseyside derby against Everton on Wednesday.

Prior to this defeat, Chelsea had been on an unbeaten streak of eight league games, but Arsenal’s determination to assert their title credentials proved too much for them.

It is worth noting that Chelsea suffered a setback before the match as their influential player, Cole Palmer, was unable to play due to illness.

Palmer has been involved in nearly half of Chelsea’s Premier League goals this season, and his absence was sorely felt by the visiting team.
