The suspected leader of the bandit group responsible for the attack on Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church in Fadan Kamanta, resulting in the death of seminarian Stephen Naaman, has been apprehended by the Kaduna State Police Command.

The arrest of Yakubu Saidu was made possible by the efforts of police operatives in Zangon Urban, as confirmed by the spokesperson of the Kaduna Police Command, Mansir Hassan.

Saidu has reportedly admitted to his role in the church attack and the killing of the seminarian, revealing that a fellow gang member from Fadan Kamanta aided in the assault and is currently evading capture.

This arrest follows a series of violent incidents in Kaduna State, including the burning of the church rectory and the tragic death of Stephen Naaman, as well as attacks on priests and religious institutions in the region.
