Troops of the Nigerian Army have once again successfully neutralized more than eleven armed bandits in the area between Anka and Bagega road in Zamfara State.
These notorious bandits had blocked the road in an attempt to hinder the movement of people and to carry out kidnappings.
However, upon receiving a distress call, the Army swiftly responded by mobilizing their troops to the scene.
A fierce gun battle ensued, forcing the criminals to retreat into the forest. This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the Army to eradicate banditry in the region.
In recent operations conducted in Zamfara and Katsina States, the Army successfully cleared blocked roads and rescued innocent people from the clutches of terrorists.
During these operations, the Army recovered weapons and other items from the bandits, including an AK-47 rifle, magazines, ammunition, motorcycles, and mobile phones. Additionally, in a separate operation in Katsina State, the troops eliminated one bandit and dismantled several insurgent camps, recovering a locally fabricated gun, motorcycles, and more mobile phones.
