Tragic incident in Ogun as armed robbers invade a hostel, assaulting and raping two female students. Authorities are investigating the heinous crime.

On Monday, during the early hours of daybreak, students’ flats at Tai Solarin University of Education in Ijagun were ambushed by thieves bearing arms. The location is within Ijebu Ode and situated in Ogun State.

Two female first-year students were raped by the suspects during the invasion.

At approximately 12:30 am, the attackers wielding firearms arrived and coerced the students into relinquishing their phones as well as other valuable possessions.

The perpetrators then proceeded to escort both female pupils to an unfinished construction site where they engaged in alternating acts of sexual abuse against them.

The incident was verified by Omolola Odutola, a police spokesperson, who reported that it was brought to the attention of the Igbeba Police Division at about 10 am on Monday.

Odutola confirmed that measures are being taken to capture the offenders. “We dispatched our personnel to scour for potential perpetrators in the region.

We’re working industriously towards detaining all individuals implicated in this wrongdoing,” Odutola remarked.
