According to reports, the army conducted an operation along the Kanti-Tantatu Road in the general vicinity of Kaso Hills and Kubusu Forest to neutralise the bandits and establish an atmosphere that would be favourable for economic growth and legal companies.
The soldiers killed five of the gunmen during the operation, which is said to have lasted several hours, and captured four AK-47 weapons, six AK-47 magazines, and 24 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition.
