Mr. Sunday Ajeh, a former education secretary for the Ogbadibo Local Government Area in Benue State, has reportedly been abducted and taken somewhere unknown.
According to information obtained by OBASANJO NEWS24, the tragedy occurred on Wednesday at around 6:30 p.m. when the victim was travelling home from a nearby village’s burial ritual.
The source claims, “We learned that the armed guys stopped him after barricading the route at Agada Hill at a little distance from Adum Oko hamlet in the Orokam axis of the LGA.
“They removed him and left his car on the side of the road. It wasn’t until they noticed his abandoned automobile and how it had been left without a trace that they realised he had been abducted.
“An alert was quickly sounded, and the local youngsters started looking for him. As of right now, no one is aware of who abducted him or where they took him.
Nobody is aware of the kidnappers’ motivations, and they haven’t demanded money from his family members as of the time of writing. His captors haven’t even made contact with his family.
When reached, Superintendent, SP, Catherine Anene, the police public relations officer, stated that she had not yet received information about the incident.
Armed individuals regularly seize control of major roadways in the Ogbadibo axis of the state in broad daylight and kidnap commuters and travellers there for ransom, earning the area notoriety.
