Based on the results of the election that was held on Saturday, Usman Ododo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor of Kogi State, has a significant lead.
Even though Ododo performed well throughout the states, he received nearly 239,000 votes from two local government areas in Kogi Central, according to data compiled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
With 138,416 votes in Okene Local Government Area and 101,156 votes in Adavi Local Government Area, the APC candidate defeated Social Democratic Party candidate Murtala Ajaka by a narrow margin.
