Edo North senator, Adams Oshiomhole, stated on Sunday that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is poised to regain power after Governor Godwin Obaseki’s term ends in November.

Oshiomhole mentioned that Edo State will experience a resurgence starting November 12, with the assumption of office by APC governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo, following Obaseki.

He delivered his remarks at the new APC secretariat on Ikpokpan Road, off Boundary-Sapele Road in Benin, during the reception of a PDP leader, Nosa Adams, and numerous PDP members into the APC.

Oshiomhole emphasized, “We are committed to ensuring the defeat of PDP, Labour Party, and the other 13 political parties contesting in Edo.

“The APC will reclaim governance of Edo State on November 12, 2024, when PDP’s Godwin Obaseki completes his second term.

“Okpebholo, a grassroots politician, will reignite growth and development in Edo State without relying on rhetoric, consultations, or memoranda of understanding.

“We require a governor of action, not words. Okpebholo, the incoming governor, will diligently serve the residents of Edo.

“Respecting the elders is crucial to maintaining unity within a political party. I am pleased with the transparent manner in which Nosa Adams identified and presented the defecting members of the executive at the ward and local government levels in Egor LGA of Edo State. There is no PDP member remaining in Egor LGA.”
