The National Institute of Progressive Study would be founded, according to Abdulahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is now in power.

In order to deliver the party’s symbolic representation to the people, he continued, the party would also open working offices in each of the country’s 8,813 wards.

On Saturday, the chairman made this announcement during the launch of the Kogi State Gubernatorial Campaign Council.

According to him, progressivism may be used as a political ideology to advance social reform and political action that is based on the progression of science, technology, economic development, and social organisation in order to enhance the lives of millions of Nigerians and society.

It is important to highlight, according to Ganduje, that we have begun and completed efforts to organise our party into a genuinely grassroots progressive party by building full-fledged offices in each of Nigeria’s 8,813 wards.

This will allow party members around the nation to communicate with one another and with leadership at all levels of government in addition to having a symbolic representation of our party in their local area.

“Also, our goal is to institutionalise the progressive ideology in our nation’s political system. We do believe that by appropriate political action and social change based on advancements in science, technology, economic development, and social organisation, progressivism as a political ideology may be used to improve the lives of millions of our countrymen and our society. We are nearing completion of creating a National Institute of Progressive Study to concretize our idea.

“This Institute will help channel and integrate the country’s progressive-minded politicians into the content, perspective, and application of progressive philosophy and political best practises in the future. This will undoubtedly highlight how we differ from other political parties who are just concerned with gaining power.

Ganduje emphasised that the party will make sure that the Nigerian political scene would be populated by truly progressive oriented politicians with the kind of graduates the institute will occasionally produce.
