The All Progressives Congress (APC) Situation Room burst into jubilation upon learning that Monday Okpebholo, the party’s nominee for governor, had garnered 56% of the vote in Saturday’s gubernatorial contest.
According to preliminary results, Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, is trailing behind Okpebholo with more than 30% of the vote.
Amidst the commotion, a video of joyous APC supporters went viral on social media and swiftly expanded throughout harmattan.

The APC has been circumspect, meanwhile, in disclosing specific numbers for every local government.
It is stated that during the celebration, governors and high ranking APC leaders were in the situation room.
