In anticipation of local government elections, the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, in Ebonyi State, will launch campaign rallies and activities on Friday, June 28, 2024.
The elections in the state’s 171 political wards and 13 LGAs are scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 20, 2024, by the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission, or EBSlEC.
The party’s preparations for the next LGA and state councilorship elections heavily rely on these rallies.
This is said in a statement that Ogbuatu Chidi Simbad, the party’s state publicity secretary, released on Thursday.

The APC is totally dedicated to making sure that the candidates chosen by the electorate win the upcoming elections, as it is the only political party in Ebonyi State that genuinely appreciates the voice and opinions of its supporters and citizens, according to the statement.
“The party has distinguished itself from other political parties in the state, providing it an advantage and winning the confidence and support of the people, thanks to its democratic and constitutional method to candidate selection during her primary.
“The APC is full of hope and confidence that victory is within grasp as it begins its rallies tomorrow. The people of Ebonyi State have responded well to the party’s grassroots mobilisation initiatives, inclusive governing philosophy, and dedication to good government, and they are prepared to demonstrate their support at the polls.
“The APC in Ebonyi State is prepared to demonstrate its power, cohesion, and resolve in order to triumph in each of the state’s 171 political wards and 13 LGAs. During the rallies, the party will spread its message of progress, development, and inclusivity to every section of the state, and it is expected to win the upcoming elections. In Ebonyi State, the APC is in fact close to victory.
