APC lacks understanding of governance and transparency compared to PDP- Adebutu
Ladi Adebutu, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Ogun State on March 18, 2023, asserted that only the PDP is capable of leading and governing.
Adebutu made this declaration on Friday at the PDP membership revalidation ceremony in Ward 4, Odo Alaro, in the state’s Odogbolu Local Government Area.
He pointed out that the PDP is open and aware of the struggles of its people, in contrast to the APC.
We are a people-focused and highly receptive party. We have succeeded because we get the importance of governance, we internalise that culture, and we embrace it.
The governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, was accused by the PDP chieftain of “throwing parties” for only commissioning a few kilometres of road, while Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo, recently inaugurated 77 km of road.

We were in Ogbomoso yesterday. The entire country can learn from the PDP government of Governor Seyi Makinde’s extensive infrastructure development.
The centre will receive less attention if all of the federating states actively carry out their roles, which is how things ought to be. PDP remains PDP.
“The PDP governor of Oyo State officially opened a roughly 77-kilometer state road while I was there. It wasn’t only resurfacing an already-existing road; he simultaneously worked on urban and rural development.
“My own brother from my own town in Iperu now puts band sets on the road, claiming he is commissioning a resurfaced and expanded road of a few kilometres. He built roads on virgin lands.”
“Now, contrast that APC member with the events of yesterday in Oyo State. That is how the APC and PDP differ from one another.
“Despite the relatively small resources in Oyo State, we understand governance, we are transparent, and we are able to do well.”
