The National Campaign Council for the Imo State governorship election on November 11 has been launched by the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leadership.
Governor Hope Uzodimma’s reelection campaign will be supported by the APC, according to Abdullahi Ganduje, the party’s national chairman, who was speaking at the inauguration on Saturday at Ndubuisi Kanu Square in Owerri, the capital of Imo state.
In the race for governor of Imo, the APC candidate believes that the party is still the one to beat.
If elected again, he said, his administration would do more than it had during his first term.
The viewpoint of the governor was supported by Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, who is the director general of the Imo State National Campaign Council.
The APC has what it takes to win the November 11 governorship election, according to Ganduje, who inaugurated the members of the campaign council.
The APC chairman also pledged that Uzodimma and the APC in the state will have all the support necessary to win the election from the party’s national leadership and the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.
The APC declared that a vigorous campaign could start across the state’s 27 local government units with the creation of the campaign council.
