The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State started its 110-person East Senatorial Campaign Committee on Friday. The goal is to get people to vote for the party in the general elections in 2023.
Sen. Ganiyu Solomon, who is in charge of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC) for Lagos State, opened the committee and said that its goal was to get people to vote for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
Solomon thanked the party leaders for their hard work and determination and said that Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, a former state commissioner, would be in charge of the campaign in the district as the Deputy Director General (DDG).
The DG added that the PCC would also establish the same committee in other senatorial districts. He said that the members of the committee’s only job was to make sure that the party’s general elections in the district went well in 2023.
“It is an honour for me to officially launch our campaign committee at this historic time.”
The senatorial campaign committee was set up to make sure that our leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and our friendly governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, were both elected. The goal was to make sure that everyone was included and that the candidates were of high quality.
“We are now establishing a committee with about 110 members, but we are free to expand as necessary.”
“Since this is a special election, we should work hard.” “We want to win big, but even winning would make us happy,” he remarked.
He says that a win for the APC as a political party would be good for all Nigerians with good intentions.

“As our campaign gets underway, I implore our leaders to avoid provoking others, stay on task, and conduct themselves civilly. “Let’s talk to our people about issues,” Solomon continued.
He claims that everyone involved must make sacrifices and work together as the committee launches its effort to get a mandate.
He recommended that all parties involved maintain the party’s unity and work together to make sure things ran smoothly.
“I implore the members of this formidable team to continually keep an eye on the party’s electoral achievements.”
“I want to make a plea to all members to follow the eternal purpose that underlies the creation and maintenance of APC. “We must avoid conflict,” he urged.
The DG said that the newly formed committee was one of four in each of the state’s three senatorial districts. He also said that other committees would be set up in Lagos Central and Lagos West I and II.
He said that the change will result in more votes being cast for the APC in the 2023 election than in the previous ones.
Oladunjoye promised that the committee will get to work and cover every inch of the area in her remarks, thanking party leaders for thinking them deserving of the position.
Lagos East would give the party 100% of the vote, according to Mr. Dele Oshinowo, Executive Council Chairman of the Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area and Assistant Director of the Committee’s ICT.
“We have never finished last in elections; instead, we have made the APC proud in Lagos, and we will continue to do so in the upcoming election.” We need to win a lot; winning is not enough.
“Of the seven million registered voters in the state, we must secure at least 4 million votes.” Veterans and grassroots activists are present, according to Oshinowo.
He implores members not to wait until funds are provided before encouraging support for the APC presidential candidate, Tinubu, whom he claims is the only one who can improve Lagos and Nigerians as a whole.
