APC emerges victorious in Borno local council elections

The Borno State Independent Electoral Commission (BOSIEC) announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in the local council polls held on Saturday.

Alhaji Lawan Maina, the Executive Chairman of BOSIEC, declared that the APC secured all 27 chairmanship positions and 312 councillorship positions in the state.

As the Chief Returning Officer, Maina read out the results and confirmed the ruling party’s sweeping victory. The certificate presentation to the winners will take place at a later date, to be announced soon.
