The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has stated that any party member wishing to run for office or seek an appointment at any level will use the party’s electronic membership registration as a basis of reference.

At the e-membership registration train-the-trainer workshop’s opening ceremony on Wednesday in Abuja, Ganduje disclosed this.

He declared that the party’s digitalization project has begun with the e-membership registration.

The chairman reminded everyone that, in August 2023, at his inauguration speech, he had declared that things would not continue as usual and that the party would also create a progressive institute to teach members and start e-membership registration.

He mentioned that the party’s online membership registration would provide a visual representation of all of its members, including their demographics, geographic distribution, and total membership count.

Ganduje declared: “Therefore, by the grace of God, we are come here today in fulfilment and execution of our vow to begin the process of digitising our party’s membership.

“This is an attempt to create a visual representation of our party’s membership, including their geographic distribution and demographic splits.”

“This procedure will serve as the foundation for reference for any member of our party who wishes to run for office or seek an appointment at any level. It will also direct the planning, decision-making, and projection process.

He emphasised that the APP and Portal—which potential trainees from the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, are expected to use—will shortly be restored, enabling both current and new members to sign up and join the party online from anywhere in the globe.

According to Ganduje, each individual is required to submit biometric information that matches the information contained in their National Identity Number, or NIN.
