A response has been issued by Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, regarding the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at the ward level.
Ahmad pointed out that the same tactics employed in the suspension of the former APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, were utilized in Ganduje’s case.
The suspension of Ganduje took place on Monday in DawakinTofa local government area of Kano State, with allegations of corruption being the reason behind the decision.
The legal adviser of the ward, Haladu Gwanjo, accused Ganduje of gross misconduct and misappropriation of public funds during his time as Kano State governor.

Ahmad emphasized that if Ganduje’s suspension was carried out in compliance with the party’s regulations, then he is no longer a member of the APC.
He further stated that Ganduje cannot continue to serve as the national chairman following his suspension, as per the party’s constitution.
In his statement, Ahmad drew parallels between the current situation and the tactics employed during Senator Adams Oshiomhole’s tenure.
He highlighted the importance of due process and hinted at possible maneuvers happening behind the scenes in the party.
