Godfrey Manasseh, a prominent figure in Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Independent Presidential Campaign Council, has pleaded with President Tinubu to take Dr. Amos Gizo under consideration for a ministerial position to represent Plateau State.
Manasseh made the announcement in Bauchi at a press conference with media, claiming that Gizo, a former All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor of Plateau State, put forth a great deal of effort to ensure Tinubu’s election as president.

Manasseh, the Chairman of the Christians Coalition for Tinubu-Kashim in Bauchi State, said, “I have also come here to point to Mr. President of someone I know is over committed to the cause of bringing him to power.”
As a northern Christian, I was aware of the suffering we endured and the severity of the persecution based on the information that was then available but is now unavailable.
“I was aware of our experiences and the current situation in Plateau State, where we hope to see Simon Lalong, the current minister of labour and productivity, sworn in as a senator representing his constituency. This would create a vacancy in Plateau State and allow the federal character commission to nominate another minister.
“Looking at trusted hands that can best fit in when Lalong bows out is necessary at this moment, given what we have seen from Mr. President, his commitment, and his willingness to give Nigerians a renewed hope agenda, for us who sacrifice our lives day and night, in the rain and in the sun, because we trusted him.”
The attorney maintained that Lalong, the immediate, should be replaced by Gizo, a well-known APC chieftain.Governor of the Plateau State, Pas5.
He recalled the fierce opposition to the party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket, saying, “We called him to come to Bauchi to be part of our tower to convince Christians in the State that Tinubu was our best option.”
“Every branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Bauchi State was present at our meeting.
“We began at the Bauchi headquarters and expanded to Tafawa Balewa, Dass and Bogoro, as well as every local government with a Christian population.
“I recall that during Gizo’s time in Bauchi, I promised them that we would reunite with Tinubu upon his inauguration as president.
“Gizo has all the qualifications to be a minister, and President Tinubu is aware of this. He has experience as a journalist, a former senator, and a National Youth leader. I see this as a great opportunity.”
Gizo was one of the few people who supported Tinubu when the northern Christians fled.
“Such loyalty, I have never seen before.”He was faithful to a man who knew how to reward loyalty, which was the ideal combination to get Tinubu on board, so I have never had any doubts.
“Mr. President, I want to beg you to trust us and give this chance to this man whose loyalty is complete.”
“Gizo gave Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 100% support, the APC 100% support, and the government’s reaffirmed agenda 100% support.
“Everyone knows that Christians are starting to realise that the Muslim tickets were not intended for religious purposes. It is doing well, and in 2027 Christians will be voting Tinubu back into office.
It will be challenging to win in 2027 if we don’t have individuals in the administration who are as dedicated as Amos Gizi.
“I would like to request that Mr. President recognise Gizo’s unwavering loyalty, which was seen in everything from his name being changed to Jagaban and Emilokan to his overall stinking good looks.
“If, at the end of the day, this man is not regarded as one of the persons who set Nigeria on the path of growth, then for us who are learning from Tinubu we may not end up learning it all. It will appear pitiful for us who are studying from him. Tinubu doesn’t need to be reminded of who he is because he is so busy.
