A prohibition order has been issued by the High Court of Justice of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) against Senator Samuel Anyanwu posing as the national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Justice M. M. Adamu delivered the decision in response to a motion filed on October 30 by Douglas Nwachukwu, a party member, via his attorney, F. S. Jimba.
Anyanwu, who was at the PDP’s Wadata House offices on Tuesday, was reportedly told to leave the area since the court had suspended his position, according to OBASANJO NEWS24.

The most recent ruling by the court is in line with an earlier order from an Enugu High Court, which also asked him to resign from his position as national secretary of the party.
Nwachukwu requested the following reliefs from the court in the motion: an order of interlocutory injunction prohibiting the first defendant (PDP), acting alone, through the National Working Committee, National Executive Committee, servants, agents, privies, or any other person as described, from acknowledging, accepting, or interacting with the second defendant (Anyanwu) as the first defendant’s nation secretary while the substantive suit is being decided.

The court declared, “That this application succeeds and the orders are hereby granted as prayed,” following Jimba’s testimony.
“That, while the substantive suit is being decided, an order of interlocutory injunction is hereby granted to prevent the first defendant/respondent, acting alone, through the National Working Committee, National Executive Committee, servants, agents, privies, or any other person as described, from identifying, acknowledging, or interacting with the second defendant as the national secretary of the first defendant.
“That, until the outcome of the substantive suit, an Order of Interlocutory Injunction is hereby granted prohibiting the 2nd Defendant/Respondent from parading himself or serving as the National Secretary of the 1st Defendant.”
An adjournment has been placed on the subject for the substantive suit hearing on January 24, 2024.
