The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) organized a four-day period of fasting and prayer in May, led by Pastor Jerry Eze who founded Streams of Joy International. This was in response to the high number of deaths recorded recently among Nollywood actors. The spiritual gathering held between May 2 and 5 at M & M Centre located in Garki, Abuja with the aim to curb this unfortunate trend within the industry.

Emphasizing the importance of prayers, AGN President Emeka Rollas expressed concern over the frequent loss of actors in the industry. He implored Nollywood stars and their supporters to unite through prayer as a measure to halt this devastating trend.
