A guy named Chinedu Enenmo, 37, and his accomplice, Donatus Ndukan, 34, have been detained by members of the Delta State Command’s Decoy Squad under the direction of ASP Julius Robinson. They are suspected of providing ammunition to armed robbers, kidnappers, and cult members.
The two suspects are from the Anambra State communities of Akere Ogidi and Urom, which are part of the Ogbaru and Awka Local Government Areas.
250 live rounds of ammunition were found on the first suspect, according to the police.
The arrest of the second suspect was made possible by the first suspect’s confession.
A statement issued by the Delta State Police Command under the direction of CP Wale Abass and signed by DSP Bright Edafe, the PPRO, corroborated the report.
According to him, “during the course of investigations, the suspect gave useful information about his accomplice and led the operatives to the Fegge area of Onitsha in Anambra State where one Donatus Ndukan’m’ 34yrs of the Urom community in Awka-North LGA of Anambra State, whom he described as his boss in the business, was also arrested.”
Both suspects are in jail, and the investigation is ongoing, according to DSP Edafe.
