Anambra State’s governor, Charles Soludo, stated on Sunday that he is making every effort to address the state’s insecurity issue.
At a special church service held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Awka in conjunction with events commemorating this year’s Independence anniversary, he gave a speech.
The governor declared that his administration was dedicated to maintaining the state’s security.
He claims that the state administration has stationed security officers in key areas all around the state and that more is being done to enhance intelligence collecting and sharing.
“My government is dedicated to safeguarding everyone’s safety and security. We are putting a lot of effort into addressing the security issues in the state, and we are optimistic that we will succeed in doing so soon,” he said.
The governor also advised Nigerians to be aware of bogus news distributors.
According to Soludo, certain individuals have been spreading false information by making use of the current security situation in Nigeria.
