Anambra: IGP appoints panel to investigate officers for alleged extrajudicial executions and excessive force

IGP Baba Akali Usman has decided to look into allegations of unprofessionalism, sexism, and extrajudicial executions against some of the officers assigned to the zone 13 command in Ukpa-Dunukofia, Anambra state.

The officers under special investigation are Inspector Harrison Akama assigned to the RRS, CSP Patrick Agbazue, the head of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Anambra State Command, SP Nwode Nkeiruka, the police public relations officer for Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo-Dunukofia, and SP Nwode Nkeiruka.

The FPRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who made this announcement in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, also said that the panel had been given two weeks to complete its probe and submit a report to the police chief.
