Governor Soludo of Anambra has dismissed the Commissioner of Information. Get the latest updates and reasons behind this decision.
The Commissioner for Information in Anambra State, Mr. Paul Nwosu, was relieved of his duties by the Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo on grounds of incompetence.
Reportedly, Nwosu was dismissed from his position on Tuesday after serving since the beginning of Soludo’s administration in 2022.
Insider reports indicate that Nwosu was fired for his inability to efficiently handle his duties.

During his time as leader, apprehensions were raised regarding his limited involvement with the public. Reports stated that he did not conduct press conferences nor had frequent interactions with journalists.
Mr. Law Mefor has been nominated to assume the position of Commissioner for Information, replacing his predecessor. The Anambra State House of Assembly is anticipated to soon confirm his appointment.
Although the situation surrounding his departure was unclear, Nwosu insisted that he left on his own accord and cited personal motives for resigning.
Before working under Soludo’s government, he served for eight years with former Governor Willie Obiano.
