The decision to embark on the strike was communicated through a circular signed by the Chairman of the union, Mr. Abraham Okoye, and the Secretary, Comrade Ugochukwu Obiwulu, in accordance with instructions received from the national body of the association.
The circular, prominently displayed at the entrance of the State Assembly complex, highlighted the reluctance of the Anambra State Government to implement the financial autonomy for the legislative arm despite numerous correspondences from both the state and national PASAN bodies, prompting the national leadership to call for the strike action effective from Thursday, 28th March 2024.
