According to South African hip-hop singer Cassper Nyovest, Amapiano from that country has surpassed afrobeats from Nigeria as “the fastest growing genre in the world.”
The rapper expressed his pride that South Africa now has a genre that represents it on the global scale in a recent interview with Beats N Sounds.

“Amapiano is taking over the music industry worldwide,” declared Cassper Nyovest. It is currently the most well-liked and rapidly expanding genre.
“I just think it’s fantastic that South Africa now has a distinct sound,” she said. because Nigeria was primarily represented in afrobeats. Therefore, it is wonderful that we have a music that is from South Africa and that it represents who we are.
