The governor stated that he has resolved to see more inherited projects completed and put to use, even while he still felt that it was important to prevent public monies from being wasted because of initiatives that later administrations had decided not to pursue.

He emphasised that this holds true notwithstanding variations in political affinities.

Adeleke disclosed that the budget for 2024 has taken measures to address the issues facing the state’s health sector, particularly the scarcity of personnel.

“I want our people to keep in mind that I promised to finish any unfinished projects left behind from the previous governments. I still intend to fulfil that commitment.

“Political differences must never be the reason for the waste of public funds.” Several of these unfinished projects have been finished by me. We are putting another inherited project into commission today, this time to house the OHIS, a highly successful state institution. From this new building, our government will keep pushing for greater access to and coverage of healthcare.
