The Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has instructed the removal of all police officers assigned to the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, as reported by Obasanjonews.com.
The directive was communicated through a police wireless message, with the document bearing reference number: “CB:4001/DOPS/PMF/FHQ/ABJ/VOL.48/ 34.

The message stated, “IG has ordered the withdrawal of all policemen attached to His Excellency and former Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
It further emphasized the importance of acknowledging compliance and treating the matter with utmost seriousness.
Additionally, the Nigerian Immigration Service had previously placed the ex-governor on its watchlist following allegations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) linking him to a case of money laundering amounting to N80.2bn.
